THE BRITISH PARA ICE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION

The British Para Ice Hockey Association (BPIHA) is the sports National Governing Body (NGB) within Great Britain. We manage the sport, run the National League as well as running the GB National Programme.

We work very closely with the English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA) in regards to the grassroots development of the sport, the British Paralympic Association (BPA) in regards to sending teams to International tournaments, and World Para Ice Hockey who are the sports global governing body.

INTERNATIONAL PARALYMPIC COMMITTEE (IPC)
The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is an international non-profit organisation and the global governing body for the  Paralympic Movement.
 
WORLD PARA ICE HOCKEY (WPIH)
World Para Ice Hockey is a sub-unit of the IPC and functions as the current International Federation (IF) for the sport.
 
BRITISH PARALYMPIC ASSOCIATION (BPA)
The British Paralympic Association, are the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) for Great Britain. It is their responsibility to select, prepare, enter, fund and manage the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team at the Paralympic Games. This team is known as ParalympicsGB.
 
ENGLAND ICE HOCKEY (EIH)
In the UK, Para Ice Hockey is a section within EIH and is managed by a committee appointed by the Para Ice Hockey clubs, and the Para Ice Hockey section will be responsible for both the domestic and international aspects of the sport.
 
BRITISH PARA ICE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION (BPIHA)
The British Para Ice Hockey Association are the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport in Great Britain. They are responsible for the day to day running of the sport, the National League and also manage and organise the Mens and Womens National Programmes in association with the EIH.
