Playing Para Ice Hockey has opened up a whole new world for me. Being part of a hockey club gives me a sense of belonging and has resulted in a number of friendships being made.
To have represented Great Britain in the sport means a lot having never expecting to be able to compete in sport at any level having been born with spina bifida.
Like most Paralympic sport, Para Ice Hockey has grown so much over the years and is becoming more and more competitive. The competitive and challenging nature of playing at international level is something I look forward to.
I’m proud to have been selected as an alternate captain of the GB team in the previous two World Championships its a great feeling to have the opportunity to lead an international team to achieve its goals at some of the highest level of tournaments the sport has to offer.
